Title: Thoughtless
Series Info: Thoughtless #1
Author: S.C, Stephens
For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.
Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same.

POINT BREAKDOWN
Plot: 38 points
Sooo….I want to give the plot of this book 50
points because I’m a sucker for forbidden love. And I LOVED the way the Kiera
and Kellan gradually go closer and closer to each other. HOWEVER…my conscious
got the best of me, and really what she did was wrong. And in the long run it
made the plot very difficult for me emotionally. One the one hand, I can
totally see why and how Kiera got in the situation. I’m sure lots of people
have been in that situation before. But on the other hand, both of them made a
mistake that really put a damper on the trust between the characters, and that
was hard for me to gulp. The rockstar part pretty much swooned me though!
So 38 points.
Characters: 15 points
I think the characters were very well written,
considering the plot. I can’t say I agreed with what the characters did all the
time, but like I said, they were well written for the plot! Plus...Kellan was a
doll!
Names of
characters: 5 points
Everyone had cute names!!! Kiera is a very
pretty name, Kellan is very sexy name (perfect for a rockstar), and the rest
don’t matter much to me anyways! Denny…well…I think of a chain restaurant when
I think of Denny. But since that didn’t distract me from liking the book, 5
points!
Writing/Depth: 30 points
The depth of emotion Stephens put into this
book was superb! The conflicting thoughts Kiera was going through felt so real,
I almost felt them myself. That shows pretty good writing and depth! Really, I
think the book perfectly depicted what a situation like that would be like. Humorous
and witty to boot!
(PS: if you like these books, there is a 3rd
book called Reckless that I haven't read).
TOTAL: 88
