Existence (Existence Trilogy #1) - 85 points

Title: Existence
Series Info: Existence Trilogy #1
Author: Abbi Glines
What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

1/2 HEARTS!

POINT BREAKDOWN

Plot: 47 points

WOW! At first I was a little apprehensive about reading the fist book, but it turned out to be pretty good! I was thinking, “Really? Death walking around in human form? What?” But for some reason I decided to read it, and I’m glad I did! Charming book with a charming plot. Very cute!

Characters: 10 points

I think the characters were well written! All of them. I would have liked to have seen more of Dank, but I loved that he was handsome with dark hair. Sexy book cover right? My kind of guy! Then again…he was Death. What other color would his hair be? LOL.
Names of characters: 1 point

Pagen? Leif? Dank? Seriously...Pagen and Leif are bad but DANK???? Um…no. That’s all I can say. The names sucked royally LOL. Good characters with bad names. But fortunately, the names didn’t ruin the book for me, which happens sometimes.

Writing/Depth: 27 points

I thought the writing and depth in this book was great! The scenes weren’t drawn out too long, and there was the perfect amount of emotion illustration. Could have been better, I mean, I’ve read better books, but I can’t say that I thought it was too dull or emotionless, cause that wasn’t the case!

TOTAL: 85 POINTS
