There were some things said in Avow that I just felt the need to share because they were either SO deep, or SO funny! If you want to read the book first, THEN DON'T READ THIS POST! If you've already read the book or you don't mind some spoiler quotes, then read on! You won't be disappointed :)
Gabriel pursed his lips. “We need to talk about Scarlet.”
Tristan lowered the bow as a ripple of tension rolled through his body.
“I love her,” Gabriel said.
Something twisted in Tristan’s chest. “Good.”
Gabriel paused. “If you want her, you need to come home and make things right with her. Now.”
Tristan stared at him. Was this a threat? Or an opportunity? Did it matter?
When Tristan didn’t speak, Gabriel scratched his chin. “I’ve watched her heart break over you too many times. I won’t let it happen again. If you don’t fix things with her now, I won’t give her back.”
Tristan rubbed the back of his neck, hating his life. But what could he do? What could he possibly do? Not a damn thing. He shook his head. “There’s nothing to fix.”
Gabriel looked sad— the bastard actually looked sad. As if Tristan’s surrender of Scarlet had somehow wounded him.
With his eyes on the ground, Gabriel nodded. “I’ll make sure she’s happy.” And then Gabriel, who had somehow become the better man between them, turned and walked away.

MY THOUGHTS: Go Gabe!!! Stepping up to do the right thing, when that used to be Tristen's role. All for the sake of Scarlet's heart. Pure. Selflessness.
“Gabriel!” she whispered again.
He slurped up the drool, but didn’t respond.
Heather turned her voice up full volume. “Gabriel Michael Archer, wake up this minute!”
With his eyes still closed, he grumbled, “My middle name isn’t Michael.”
“I don’t care. Wake up!”
MY THOUGHTS: Hahahaha.... always making up middle names. Like Scarlet Marie, who doesn't have a middle name either!
“Yeah. I know it seems weird,” she said. “And I’d really love to explain myself, but honestly, you came up out of nowhere and I haven’t had time to put together a good lie.”
“You snuck into my house,” he said.
“Yes.”
“And stole a bunch of my weapons,” he looked at her trunk again.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Confusion. Fear. Desire. Fear. Love. What was going on?
Scarlet made a face. “Because I need… them?”
“So do I.”
She made a face. “You don’t need them.”

MY THOUGHTS: LOL... "Honestly, you came up out of nowhere and I haven't had time to put together a good lie..." And "She made a face. 'You don't need them.'" LOL!!! Like she is so sure that he doesn't need them...I can just imagine the face she has on like, "Nahhh...don't even worry...you don't need them." **hehehe**
He exhaled as a sliver of fear ran through him. “Which is why I’m concerned about you sneaking into my house and stealing my things—“
“Borrowing. Oh!” She thought of something else. “And I need money. Can I borrow some money?”
He narrowed his eyes. “Why do you need weapons?”
“Is that a yes on the money thing?”

MY THOUGHTS: Bahahaha...she doesn't even care that he's freakin' out...she ignores her probing and still asks for money...
“Good morning, cursed ones.” Nate entered the kitchen.
Tristan went back to pancake-making.
“Morning,” Scarlet said. She glanced Nate up and down. “What are you wearing?”
He looked down at himself. “This is my bathrobe.”
Scarlet said, “It looks like a fur coat.”
Tristan pointed at Nate with the spatula. “Told you.”
Nate made a face. “For the last time, this is not a fur coat. It’s just a very thick and warm bathrobe.”
“With fur,” Tristan added.
“There is no fur— never mind. I need breakfast.”

MY THOUGHTS: Tristen pointed at Nate with the spatula and says, "Told you." hahahahaha....I died!!!
“Hey now. Don’t try to cop a feel, Gabriel Michael.”
“Cop a feel?”
“Yes, mister. Keep your hands to yourself.”
He silently laughed. “I love how our lives are at risk and you’re worried about me feeling you up. Like this is somehow sexy for me.”
“What’s not sexy about old witches and dead guys and bloody feet? You don’t find this whole thing hot?”
“Not even a little,” he smiled. “And my middle name isn’t Michael.”
“What is it then?”
“I don’t have a middle name.”
“Well, you do now. Michael.”
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (p. 313). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: Who doesn't find bloody feet hot? Right? hahahaha... and Heather still won't give up with assigning him a middle name! LOL.
[Nate] “What about you? What will do you with the rest of your life?”
Heather thought for a moment. “Try to get into a good college so I can study fashion. Ooh, and travel the world. And try new foods. And get married and have kids and become one of those fun grandma’s that always over-decorates for Christmas and constantly smells like cookies.”
“Wow. That’s… specific,” Nate said.
“I also want to eat grass and ride a bear,” Heather added with a frown. “But that could be the drugs talking.”
“Right.” Nate looked at Scarlet. “What about you?..."
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (pp. 332-333). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: Specific for sure!!! Eat grass and ride a bear? Definitely the drugs talking...hahahahaha... oh Heather! Poor thing. And Nate is thinking, "OK, moving on..." LOL.
[Nate]" What about you, Tristan?” He turned to the very silent Archer beside Scarlet. “What would you do with one mortal life to live?”
“Marry Scarlet.”
Everyone stared at him. Including Scarlet.

MY THOUGHTS: Oh em gee!!! If I was Scarlet, I would jump into his lap and kiss his face! Sweetest. Answer. Ever! :D
Heather smiled dreamily at the ground and traced a finger through the mud. “Dirt is pretty.”
Gabriel leaned over and quietly said, “Heather—“
“What?” she snapped her head up and looked around the fire. “What? Was I doing it again? Acting crazy?”
No one said anything.
“O-M-G.” She groaned. “I’m an addict. I’m losing my mind because I’m a druggie.”

MY THOUGHTS: Dirt is pretty!!! All random...LOL. Poor, poor Heather.
“You’re a really great friend.”
Heather rolled her eyes. “That’s what I keep telling you. But you still insist on going braless when wearing tank tops, even when I advise you strongly against it.” She shook her head disapprovingly. “Friends don’t let friends jiggle, Scarlet.”
She scoffed. “I hate bras. They’re like corsets for boobs.”
“Boob corset. I’m going to patent that.”
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (pp. 336-337). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: "Friends don't let friends jiggle..." That is very true! LOL
“Found it!” Nate stepped away from his backpack with a whip in his hand— an actual whip.
“Why on earth do you own a whip?”
“Why don’t you?”
Oh dear God.
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (p. 340). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: "Why don't you?" Oh dear God is right...LOL I love quirky Nate :)
Gabriel stared at Nate. “What are you wearing?”
Nate looked down at his outfit. “Adventure attire.”
“You look like Indiana Jones.”
“Exactly— ooh! I need my whip.” Nate rushed over to his backpack just as Heather exited the tent.
She looked at Gabriel and turned around in a circle. “How do I look?” She was wearing a pair of tiny jean shorts and a bright pink T-shirt. Her blond hair was matted on one side and there were dirt smudges all over her arms, legs, and face.
Gabriel hesitated. “Like a Barbie doll that got run over by a garbage truck.”
“Wow. Really, Gabriel?”
[later]
He [Nate] placed an Indiana Jones style hat on his head. Retrieving his whip from the ground, he stood beside Heather with his hands on his hips and grinned at Gabriel. “Now how do I look?”
Gabriel stared at Indiana Jones and Garbage Truck Barbie.
Heaven help us all.
[later]
Heather rolled her eyes and disappeared back inside the tent, reappearing a minute later with a dark gray T-shirt on. “Better?” She cocked her head at Tristan.
“Yes. You’ve just extended your life by at least an hour.”
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (p. 339-341). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: Hahaha...poor Nate and Heather don't know how to dress for battle! So cute...Indiana Jones and Garbage Truck Barbie :)
“O-kay.” Nate clasped his hands. “Who wants to walk through the uncomfortable sexual tension first? Gabriel? Heather?”
“Ugh. Gag me,” Heather said. “Wait no. No one gag me.”
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (p. 347). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: Heather was gagged at the end of the second book LOL...once again, poor Heather...
“You know what we need? A chainsaw. Why didn’t anyone think to bring a chainsaw?” Heather bit at her nails.
“Next time.” Nate pointed at Tristan. “Make a note, dude. Tracking devices and chainsaws.”
Fine, Chelsea (2012-12-09). Avow (The Archers of Avalon, Book Three) (p. 349). Firefall Publishing. Kindle Edition.
MY THOUGHTS: LOL...Tracking device reference was from book 2. And Next time? Bahahahaha...like they plan on doing this again?? Hehe...
“A chasm,” Nate said. “This looks like a deep chasm.”
Gabriel rolled his eyes.
....
“Well, look at that!” Nate grinned. “A whip. How incredibly helpful and convenient. I’m so glad you brought a whip with you, Nate. Why, thank you, Gabriel. I always try to be prepared.”
[Gabriel] “I don’t think I want to trust our lives to a fake whip you bought at Comic Con.”
“Why does everyone assume I buy all my things at Comic Con? This is a real whip.”
Gabriel said, “Where did you buy it?”
Nate paused. “Comic Con.” He hurriedly added, “But Comic Con sells real whips."
MY THOUGHTS: Gabriel needs some ice for his burn!!! LOL. And I wonder why everyone assumes he buys all his things at Comic Con...HM! haha
Tristan came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, bringing her back up against his chest as they watched the fireworks. The finale came to an end and Scarlet could hear cheers in the distance as Avalon celebrated the end of the Kissing Festival.
The fireworks cleared until only twinkling stars remained. Tristan leaned in close to her ear and whispered, “Is it okay if I love you forever? Even if forever is only for a lifetime?”
She turned in his arms and smiled up at him. “Only if it’s okay that I love you back.”
He smiled. “Deal.”
And while the town of Avalon was busy kissing beneath paper stars, Scarlet and Tristan kissed beneath the real ones. Just as they had centuries ago. Just as they would for years to come.

MY THOUGHTS: Awww....reference to the second book! I love :)
