In the third installment of the Significance series, we begin with Maggie and Caleb in the clutches of a new enemy; the Virtuoso council. All are determined to undermine, control and use Caleb and Maggie's rare gifts for their own uses, some wish to destroy them entirely. Then Maggie's father and Bish are threatened but the council forbids the presense of humans. Peter and the family fight and stand beside them every step of the way to save Maggie's father, to keep Caleb and Maggie together when the corrupted council is so set on keeping them apart and to stop Marla and whatever she has up her sleeve. Then Maggie has the shock of her life when she discovers something about her real father. It may change everything for everyone. Stay tuned as the story continues.

Plot: 50 points
This is the first paranormal book series I picked up in about 3 years (the first and only other was the Twilight Series), and the plot was so good that I started reading again!!! It welcomed me into the world of paranormal with open arms! I loved the imprinting idea, I loved the powers of the Aces, and I loved the love! The mutualizing...**swoon** so cute! Great going Crane!!!
Characters: 15 points
The characters were all really great! Caleb was sweet as pie (and hot!!!), Maggie was as well, Kyle was a great asset to all of the books, and both families were a hoot! The relationship between everyone in the book felt so real because of the emotional writing that was done to perfection!
Names of characters: 4 points
Honestly, the only name I didn’t really care for was Maggie. Caleb wouldn’t have been my choice “sexy main character” name (I would have even liked Kyle better) either, but it wasn’t so bad. So I would have chosen different names for the main characters, although it didn’t distract me from liking the book, so only a 1 point deduction.
Writing/Depth: 30 points
All I can say is, “Go Shelly!” One of my top 2 writers of all time! She’s so great about keeping suspense going while giving you hints along the way to chew on, and the romantic scenes were written PERFECTLY. I loved the clean way she wrote them. All the emotionally filled scenes felt totally real and yet magically paranormal all at the same time. I could not put these books down!
PS: There is a Significance movie coming out in 2014! :D
