When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

I love the plot of this series a lot!!! I like the way Armentrout can take a supernatural subject (aliens) and make something so cool out of them (made of light! Not weird green and slimy!) Luxen’s are some pretty cool (and attractive) aliens! And enemies that are strongest at night? In the dark? Well played Armentrout! Oh and yes...the stones (obsidian, onyx, and opal) ARE incorporated into the books :)

All the characters in the series are great! The slow progression of romance, and the relationships and friendships between everyone is typical of an Armentrout book! Perfect! And of course, Daemon is my favorite flavor...tall, dark and handsome!
Names of characters: 3 points
I am pretty much okay with everyone’s name except…Kat. I mean, I could go for something a little cooler. Then again, how would Daemon be able to tease her so much about being a Kitty Kat? LOL. Anyways, all the names are pretty good! None of the names sounded stupid or anything.
Writing/Depth: 30 points
Jennifer Armentrout is one of my favorite authors because she is the best at writing in depth and incorporating just the right about on emotions to a scene. She stays on the scene for just the right amount of time, never too lengthy and drawn out, and the humor and whit always leaves me smiling!

You know, I've seen the Lux series around, but I've never really read them, despite the fact that everyone is obviously in love with them. :> Maybe I'll have to change that soon.
