On Dublin Street - 98 points

Title: On Dublin Street
Author: Samantha Young
Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well—until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her… down to the very soul.

POINT BREAKDOWN

Plot: 48 points

I think through and through, the book had a fantastic plot! I couldn’t put the book down! It has a little "steam" in it, but not too much. Just the perfect amount I would day. I would fall asleep at 3am, open my eyes, and keep reading until I fell asleep again! The slow progression of romance is something I love in books, and Young did that for me in this book!

Characters: 15 points

All the characters were perfect, cute, and witty! Loved them all! They also had a great relationship with each other in the book. Made the book fit together nicely.

Names of characters: 5 points

Joss: Cute! Braden: Adorable! Loved both names! Supporting characters had good names, too.

Writing/Depth: 30 points

I thought the writing and depth in this book was great! The scenes weren’t drawn out too long, and there was the perfect amount of emotional depth. Bravo Young!
