Title: Beneath Him
Author: Komal Kant
Sometimes love can start with a little hate.
When Sky Hudson first has a run-in with tall, dark, and handsome Nicholas Ruggarson, she wants nothing more than to throw her coffee at him. He is rude and arrogant, and she is glad she never has to set eyes on him ever again.
Or so she thinks.
It turns out, not only does she have to see Nick again, she also has to live with him. Hired as the new nanny to work for Nick’s affluent family, she can’t seem to get away from the womanizing jerk.
With a hot and cold relationship, and an undeniable attraction between them, Sky might finally be the woman to break through Nick’s arrogance and discover that there is more to him than she ever imagined.
If she doesn’t kill him first.

WHAT I LIKED:
I really liked the whole, "Millionaire falls in love with the poor girl" plot. It's very Fifty Shades of Grey! I liked that the relationship progression between Sky and Nick was slow. I liked that Sky was the one to help Nick face his past and stop deflecting. And I really just loved the overall plot! I don't want to give much away, but for most of the book, while I knew there was something going on with Nick that had to do with his past, I didn't know what it was and I didn't connect the dots. Finally, at one point, I was pretty sure I had connected the dots, but even then I wasn't really sure that I had. It was hard to pin-point exactly everything that I thought had happened... which is exactly what I want in a book. Predictability really sucks! So Kant did a great job of keeping me occupied with what was going on with Nick and Sky, and less focused on the mysteries of the book.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
Sky didn't stay mad at Nick for very long, no matter how serious their fights were. She always gave in to his temptations and his charming personality. I would rather her have stood her ground at times. I understand Nick is super charming, but come on girl! I also didn't really like the first time they... you know... did what Nick was supposedly so skilled at. It seemed pretty un-romantic and dry to me... very cut to the chase. PLUS, their relationship wasn't in the best state at the time, so I was kinda mad at Sky for giving in so easily. And the time Sky really did seem to stand her ground for awhile, it was over something I wouldn't have been that mad at. I was also slightly disappointed in how the book ended, because in reality, Nick should have been a lot more freaked out about some things (I think you'll know what I'm talking about when you get to the last part of the book). And we don't really find out their whole story... how it all ends for them (Is there a wedding? Is she still the nanny?).
At any rate, obviously you can see with my score that the pros totally outweighed the cons! Ultimately, I was hooked on the book and couldn't put it down. Whenever I had to stop reading, I couldn't wait to read again! :)

Sky: The only beef I had with Sky is that she gave into Nick to easy. That was it. She was great! Spunky, sweet, put Nick in his place, and really helped him step up to the plate and confront some things. Oh, and I didn't like her whole thing with Matt. What was that??? Did she like him or not? I don't know...whatever haha
Nick: Nick was just a little too charming in the wrong ways at times. Especially since he was a super sensitive guy stuck in a tough guy's body. But for the most part, I liked him. He did finally let Sky in, and he didn't ever treat her like a one-night stand.
Matt: What was up with Matt???? Ugh... I never figured him out... I liked him and hated him at the same time.
Emily: Loved her!
Oscar: Loved him!
Chloe: Well... there has to be one b**** in the book haha. But I warmed up to her and accepted her for who she was.

This was the first book I had read by Kant, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! She did a great job!
Little bits of humor here and there, kept my interest, pretty mature writing style... Altogether a great writer! I think I would definitely read more of her books! :)
And may I just say... what a smokin' cover!
