Title: Finding It
Series Info: Losing It #3
Author: Cora Carmack
Sometimes you have to lose yourself to find where you truly belong...
Most girls would kill to spend months traveling around Europe after college graduation with no responsibility, no parents, and no-limit credit cards. Kelsey Summers is no exception. She's having the time of her life . . . or that's what she keeps telling herself.
It's a lonely business trying to find out who you are, especially when you're afraid you won't like what you discover. No amount of drinking or dancing can chase away Kelsey's loneliness, but maybe Jackson Hunt can. After a few chance meetings, he convinces her to take a journey of adventure instead of alcohol. With each new city and experience, Kelsey's mind becomes a little clearer and her heart a little less hers. Jackson helps her unravel her own dreams and desires. But the more she learns about herself, the more Kelsey realizes how little she knows about Jackson.

I really love this series and I really loved this book! There's always a little bit of everything in Carmack's book; adventure, heartache, humor, love, anger... It's all there. Laughing one minute and crying the next.
Parts of this book were hard to read because it strikes a issue that is very real and very scary. It also addresses PTSD from war experiences.
It was honestly just a lot of fun to follow Kelsey, and then Kelsey and Jackson, around Europe. Following their relationship and watching the dynamic between constantly changing due to their thoughts and feelings about each other. And the part when Kelsey answers Jackson's phone was MIND-BLOWING...completely unexpected!!! I honestly didn't expect that at all until the moment Kelsey knew who was calling. Then I was just in total shock!!! I love books with an unexpected plot...I honestly didn't see it coming. Hopefully you wont either!!
Great job Carmack! It was a nice, new plot within a great series of books!
Jackson was perfect! And I want to start with him because he was a perfect gentleman from the beginning to the end. I really admired the way he looked out not just for Kelsey, but for their relationship with one another. And even when things got tense towards the end of the book...all he could do was try to swoon her back to him!
I had a love/hate relationship with Kelsey. First of all, I have to say that it's normal to see people respond and react a certain way because of their past. For them to have thoughts and feelings about themselves and life that might seem a little harsh to others. And Kelsey lived up to that at times. Somethings she would seem very out there, to the point of being inconsiderate. She definitely knew what she wanted, but she didn't know how to handle what she had with care, and appreciate Jackson for the guy he was. He would try to talk to her about her past, but even though she knew something was off with him, she never inquired about what it might be. She seemed very selfish, in fact. However, the relationship between the two of them was electric, and I think Jackson made up for most of her flaws. He would coax her into being a calmer, more rational person.
All in all they were both good for each other, and that made them each great characters!
Writing/Depth: 30 points
Carmack really can paint a clear picture for you! Rather it's a feeling, a scene, or an emotion, Carmack can make you seem like you're feeling it or seeing it with the characters! I was honestly impressed by her depth in this book, which was important because of the different places they traveled, the things they saw, and the range of emotions between the characters. Full points for this one!
TOTAL: 99 POINTS!
