Wait for You (Wait for You #1) - 100 points

Title: Wait for You
Series Info: Wait for You #1
Author: J. Lynn (Jennifer Armentrout)
Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

POINT BREAKDOWN

Plot: 50 points

I haven't read a Armentrout book in so long that I forgot how great of a writer she is!!! All i can say is WWWWOOOOOWWWWZZZEEEERRR!!! The plot of this book will have you SQUIRMING the entire time! This is the kind of book that will have you abandoning work, chores, schoolwork, friends...EVERYTHING, just to keep reading it.

One of the things J. Lynn is great at, and which she does VERY WELL at in this book as well, is the slow development of the relationship between the main characters. Cam is swoon-worthy from the very second he appears in the book, but she keeps Avery stubborn so that things don't happen too fast. And of course...Cam has to be persistant and patient to get Avery. I would say that's a spoiler, but the book description already highlights that pretty well.

The book includes all types of scenes and emotions. Whitty, cute, emotional, lighthearted, serious, funny, and HOTT scenes (VERY hott I might add...) are all included. But what I couldn't get enough of as far as the plot goes is the way Cam just keeps inching his way closer and closer to Avery. And he takes every step carefully, and does everything perfectly! :)

Characters: 20 points

As far as the supporting characters go (Jacob, Brittany, Ollie, etc), all of them were great! And funny! Senor F**ktard was pretty hilarious...LOL. Maybe my favorite next to Jacob. And the sucky characters were very well written as sucky characters (don't know what else to say about them LOL).

Now for Cam...just typing his name kinda makes me me hot, red, and sweaty! LOL. TOTAL babe, and pure gentleman!!! He's a little arrogant at times, but only in a cute way, not an obnoxious way. He basically abondons any previous reputations he had before, and commits himself to his companionship with Avery. A TRUE companionship, and maybe the sweetest relationship I've ever read (tied with J.Lynn's male characters in her other books) ;) He's what us girls call, "The whole package."

Avery has A LOT going on. Sucky parents, a new life in a new town, new friends, a crazy emailer/texter/stalker, and a new... eye-candy, sexy, 100% man in her life (AKA: Cam). That's quite a lot for a girl who is only 19 years old! But luckily her life is pretty cool in West Virginia, and much better than it would have been if she stayed living with her family. DEFINITELY better when Cam enters the picture :) She has some trust issues at first which causes some problems, but she is able to overcome those issues eventually.

Oh! And one more supporting character which I absolutely adore...Raphael. He may pee on people's hands, but he is still the cutest turtle ever written ;)

Writing/Depth: 30 points

Writing, depth and humor is the area where J. Lynn ALWAYS excels. You just can't beat her!!! This is the author that I compare every other author to, because she is simply the best in my opinion. I think it's because she thinks a lot like me. The descriptions of her male characters always sound like guys that I would be attracted to. And the feelings of the female characters always sound like the feelings I would be feeling in the same circumstance. She's just a really good writer!

The humor in this book is perfect, especially when Cam and Avery are getting to know each other. All-in-all, you GOT to read this book!!! If you don't, you will sorely regret it!!!! And you are missing out! Top romance of 2013 so far! :)

TOTAL: 100 POINTS!!!
