I had some mixed emotions about this book, but I have to say that all-in-all, the plot was awesome! Different than anything else I've read so far. I really, REALLY loved the incorporation of Greek mythology, Gods and Goddesses! That's almost always my favorite book theme.
The reason why I had some mixed emotions about the plot is because I didn't really understand the purpose of a lot of things, and some things seemed a little bit too cheesy for me. Also, it seemed like when I wanted Ian and Sean to stay by Kallos the most, they just walked away! The thing is, I wasn't really sure why at times. And Ian seems to love Kallos so much, and yet at times he just didn't treat her right. I guess Acidalia DID warned Sean of that ('Acidalia' is a precursor book to the series, as is the book 'Sean and Ian' and 'Aphrodite's Curse.' Just click on the book titles if you are interested. I think all of them, especially Aphrodite's Curse, add to the understanding of this book). Ian's demon blood comes out and he gets a little temperamental, yet that never happens with Sean and he has more demon blood than Ian. And where does Brandon come into all of this? He kind of just came and then left LOL. Maybe the next book(s) will explain a little more about him. In fact, it's quite obvious that the next book(s) will be explaining quite a lot of things.
The biggest pro of the plot is definitely the love triangle. I really seem to like love triangles! Just for your information, I'm team Sean LOL. Oh, and I love the method used to take away Kallos' pain! I don't want to spoil it but it's pretty awesome ;)

For the most part, I adored all of the characters! The only thing I didn't like, as I mentioned, was when Ian and Sean would walk away, and when Ian was wishy washy with his feelings for Kallos. Other than that, they all were great! I thought the name Kallos (BTW: the meaning of Kallos is mentioned in the book) was very pretty and unique! I also like the names Sean and Ian. I like the name Ian more, but I liked the actual character Sean more :)
Writing/Depth: 20 points
Unfortunately there were quite a few typos in the book that were somewhat distracting at times. Most of the time I caught the typos and understood what was meant, but other times I was a bit confused. Also, I felt things could have been explained just a tad bit better, and that more time should have been spent on the scenes to develop deeper emotional description and explanation of feelings. I could have used a little more humor, too, but only because I'm a humor freak :)
The good news is, even though the book lacked a little depth for me, I was still able to get pretty captivated in the plot, because the book REALLY does have a great plot. Like...a SUPERB plot!!! That was definitely the highlight of the book for me!

I love a good love triangle too. They make you want to pull your hair out sometimes, and I am the crazy person who loves that feeling! haha
